ok so i randomly went down a rabbit hole and found this fest in Bangalore called ASCENT (May 15–17)

at first glance i thought it’s one of those “big poster, mid execution” kinda things… but digging a bit deeper, some parts actually look kinda interesting??

like there’s this one event called Ship to Scale — basically a full-day sprint where you go from idea → actual product → pitch + demo in the same day
and apparently if you do well, you get a VC interview + deployment credits?? which is kinda wild for a college fest

it’s not just ideation either, they’re pushing you to actually build + ship something usable with mentors helping throughout (so not just ppt merchants 💀)

rest of the fest has the usual hackathons / robotics / cp / ml stuff, but this one stood out cuz it’s more like “can you actually turn something into a real product under pressure”

idk tho — has anyone here been to events like this before?
are these build + pitch things actually worth it or do they end up being chaotic and rushed?

also it says free reg which feels… suspiciously good
