Hello, I am trying to re-create an effect that was lost in the development of our website (developed by someone else).

I have very limited react and js experience as I am normally a C# developer. I am looking for some directions or guides for making button borders react to the position of the mouse by generating a gradient highlight along the border.

Basically I imagine it would just be a circular mask around the pointer that highlights the borders but I am not sure how to achieve this.
