In nextjs v15.5.6, while using the next-google-fonts, I do this :

const rethinkSans = Rethink_Sans({
    variable: "--font-rethink",
    subsets: ["latin"],
});

const poppins = Poppins({
    variable: "--font-poppins",
    weight: ["100", "200", "300", "400", "500", "600", "700", "800", "900"],
    subsets: ["latin"],
});

Why do I need a weight prop for poppins as that is also a variable font?
why is the weight here not optional like in rethink sans
