Hey anyone know about .env files and how next handles them, I've read the same information like 10 times now and what I'm observing and what I think I understand are 2 completely different things.

Essentially what I'm observing is my .env.production gets applied to each build no matter what and it is taking precedence over all other .env files. Is this normal? Anyone working with multiple deployments that would need varying environment variables?
