@Orinoco Crocodile Google is a bit magicky in this way. There is couple of rules of thumb when it comes to writing such description to reduce the chance of description being rewritten by Google:
- Use 150 characters or less
- Put yourself in searching person's shoe and ask the question "If I google Shardborne, would I want to see The website of Shardborne Modpack" in result. Chances are no - you'll want to see what Shardborne Modpack is - that is probably why google chose to rewrite your description.
- Make sure not to duplicate another website description - probably not happening, but still worth mentioning
- Put it through grammarly or anything similar and make sure the description is easy to read and understand

FYI, there are similar rules for title tag. I know it's not your issue exactly, but worth mentioning for context.

the description that you give google is only a suggestion for google. Google can also generate their own description and show their own

Btw, you can read more about it by googling Google rewrites meta description. Google has their own article with tips on how to create quality descriptions: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/snippet#meta-descriptions

I'd guess, you could even rewrite your description with the help of chat gpt or similar tool. I like to use prompts like Help me create meta description tag content for my page that will match google guidelines. Ask relevant questions one at a time if needed - it will ask couple of simple questions in interview format and help preparing better description.
