man im gonna watch a 5 hour course on youtube 😭 this is worth it though and i am going to learn this, is there anything i should know beforehand?

no, it#s not. Then invest the time in nextjs.org/learn to learn nextjs. A 5hours course is good if you want to understand how everything matches together

it is good to get used to reading docs and doing things the right way, i also think its good to hear what he has to say as not only does everyone has different learning styles but the video may be about building a complex app like you say

@Blanc de Hotot Assuming your preference is to learn through longer video tutorials:
- Do not try to complete the tutorial in 5 hours! Make notes, follow the tutorial on your own pace, pause as much as needed, rewind where in doubt and most importantly make breaks every hour or so.
- Make sure to hit the author and relevant community in case of questions. Do not assume you are ought to understand everything on your own as it is a downfall of many people entering any skillset.

That is as much as can be said without knowing what the tutorial is about. 5 hours is a lot of material to go through and I wouldn't recommend simply watching it as that amount of material is not easy to absorb.
