Hello, I will be building next.js application from ground up, and currently I am selecting which Auth framework to use. Preferably it would be free framework, since I will be able to host auth code on our server, instead of service providers'

I plan to store user data on SQL database, that's why I don't need service with built in storage.

NextAuth.js caught my eye, however I saw some discussions online which stated that this tool is nightmare to work on. Any comments on this?
