isnt this just an example? theres nothing that stops you from just making a github.com/harshit/nextjs-imagekit repo and use it as the example repo

plenty of people do that, the examples repo on vercel/next.js are only a small subset of the example repos out there

if anything, i believe your pings to maintainers harmed your chance of getting merged as it slows them down without contributing much value to the core source code – the more important part of the repository
