I’m working on an npm package to simplify project setup by automating the creation of folder and file structures. To make it as useful as possible, I’d love your input on the typical folder and file structures you use in your projects.
Here’s what I’m trying to figure out:
Folders: What folders do you usually create when starting a project? (e.g., components, apis, etc.)
Files: What key files do you include, and where do they go? (e.g., components/loadApp.py, etc.)
I’m particularly interested in setups for:
Next.js
React
Node.js (including Discord bot projects)
Any other frameworks you work with (like Vue)!
This discussion will help me build something useful for developers. Once the package is ready, I’ll share it in the respective channel for feedback, and all contributors will get:
Credit on the package’s website.
A mention in the terminal message when someone installs the template (e.g., "Thanks to [Your Name], this structure is available to make your project setup faster!").
Feel free to share your thoughts here so we can discuss and collaborate. Your help would mean a lot—thank you! 😊
