Performance Discrepancy Between Local Lighthouse and Google PageSpeed Insights

I'm facing an issue with the performance of a landing page I developed. When I run Lighthouse locally in Google Chrome, I get a performance score of 99, but after deploying the site and testing it through Google PageSpeed Insights, the score drops to 64. This is the first time I'm working on optimizing a website, and I'm unsure about what might be causing the discrepancy. Has anyone experienced this before or could offer advice on how to improve my performance score in production? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

@Transvaal lion When you do a pagespeed check the numbers on top are an aggregate of what visitors have experienced the latest 28 days.
Then it also makes a new lighthouse test of its own, shown below what you in your screenshot.
Compare to what it shows below instead.
