Change existing shadcn-ui theme colors proportionally?

It seems to me that all the colors within a single Shadcn theme (such as zinc, neutral, gray, slate, stone, blue, etc.) are carefully balanced or harmonized with each other to create a cohesive UI. How can I adjust my colors while maintaining that balance/proportion? For instance, I want to modify the dark mode background color to give it a more subdued/grayish tone based on the Shadcn zinc theme template. However, when I make that change, the rest of the elements (like borders, buttons, etc.) feel slightly off and don’t harmonize as well as they did before. What can I do to fix this?

I like to use this page, to get my own color, but keep it also balanced: https://themes.fkaya.dev/
