I added my client to the git project as there are values he often changes in a .json file. It worked the first time but now he’s getting an error that he needs permission. Anyone know why this is happening?

you need to add you're client in to vercal to deploy
as the vercal will se who is in the project in git, but when it sees that they arnt in the vercal settings it wont work so add youre clienrt

that requires the pro plan though, no?
It was working before I don't see why it's required now

idk, it might be a new rule they pushed, but remove your client create two resp, say edit anything you want in to that and i will deploy it
so one for deployment and one for other things and i wont recomand if you are making advance or a private things such as databases i recomand to use a web hosting like cpanel like verpex that have node.js application were you can upload youre next js code, and then go to the node js and deploy it, i can show a vid, or use vps for depolyment

The entire point was for him to be able to change dates in a .json without me having to deploy it/do it for him. Not using a db or anything so I might just have to resort to that or make a way to change the json behind a protected page. Appreciate the information you gave 🙂

Going to try that first probably
seems like the easiest route thus far
Your client?
Using the hobby plan for commercial services is against the vercel terms of service.
You must be on a pro plan regardless.
Just a heads up.
If yiou want your client to make changes and deploy to vercel
You just be on the pro plan and add them as a team member
Or opt out of the vercel github integration
And use the vercel cli to write a script to deploy to vercel via GitHub actions. Reference the cli docs for details.
