Hot reloading Intellij

Hello all!
Since yesterday a colleague of mine started having issue with hot reloading, where the dev server didn't do anything when a file was changed + saved in his IDE, IntelliJ. (No compiled message - Hot reloading didn't work) So after some testing we tried editing + saving a file with nano, which suddenly did trigger hot reloading. Then tried VSCode, which also worked. As if IntelliJ saves files in a sort soft mode, which bypasses the file watcher.
Did anyone else experience this issue where hot reloading didn't work in a IntelliJ IDE? Maybe a setting which accidentally got switched on? (I am not really familiar with Intellij)
Node: 20.10.0
NextJS: 14.2.5 nor 14.2.7

Okay it was the intellij version: 2023.2.2, bumped to the lastest 2024 version worked
