hey there, you can use a
.vercelignore file - https://vercel.com/docs/deployments/vercel-ignorethat might work
my question is - why don't you want a new deployment? surely it will just be exactly the same as the last one if the readme changes

uh idk deploying everytime the readme is updated seems silly to me
is there a reason I should do it?
Unless your readme updating is so frequent that the increase in deployments interferes with your business, just let it be

like its more that additional deployments likely arent costing you anything
so there isnt really any reason why you would want to prevent a deployment
because it doesnt really affect anything if theres a new deployment, unless there’s something im missing
think I have ptsd from when deployments on a java project took 13 minutes per build 😅
