Node.js JavaScript Runtime high memory usage

I am working on a Next.js application and for the last 2-3 days, I have been noticing an issue. The Node.js JavaScript Runtime starts consuming over 2GB of my memory as soon as I run the application.
Yesterday, I was facing a similar issue with Brave Dev tools while running my application and I switched to Edge.
What might be the reason?

Next.js is taking 2GB+ memory for almost everyone in the dev environment. It's pretty common

but isn't 3700 mb too much?

yeah, I think 3.7 GB is too much, even if it's next.js
