AVIF or WEBP?

Hello guys, I'm just curious about which one is better. I recently noticed AVIF time is slower than WEBP time in network even its size is smaller than WEBP. Why it looks slow? Should I use WEBP?

By default next uses .webp
For next/image
So no matter what extension you use if .webp is supported next will use .webp otherwise will ise the original extension.
.webp is supported more than avif
You can use avif for smaller compression or .webp. Both do a good job.
Avif does compress more. But if you want your image supported without next/image its better to use.webp as it more supported.
