Imagining that I'm trying to access the main page without being logged in. It first shows me a part of the layout and then shows me just what it was supposed to.

I'm guessing you want to know how to handle skeleton loading for parts of your layout? If so, i'm looking for the same thing lol
Have you found anything yet?

Only thing I can think of would be to replicate any elements that are in a layout inside a page loading script. but that feels a bit redundant imo.
