Hi! Node 22 launched recently, and my org is considering updating. We tested it out with our Next 14 setup and haven’t noticed any issues yet.
We self host, but I noticed that Vercel only deploys up to Node 20.x. I can’t seem to find any mention of Node 21/22 across Next GitHub issues, and am trying to determine if there’s any known stability issue or blocker.
What’s the roadmap look like for Node 21/22 support if there are?
P.S. I know it’s super early, not expecting an instant turnaround, just curious 😃

Node 22 was released 5 days ago. Obviously not much on it since most people dont explicitly update versions that quick and seeing how you didnt experience issues it's even less likely that there would be issues

Totally! Like I said, I’m not expecting much. I’m asking to see if anyone else has tried it/has thoughts. If there’s a better place for that kind of discussion, happy to post there as well.

Vercel will only provide support for node versions under LTS. Even so, there is a gap, vercel will likely only support node 22 a few months after it reaches LTS status.

Makes sense. I think they mentioned LTS in October (6 months of being “Current”).

Even AWS lambda doesnt support it yet. Gotta give it some time.
