Recommended Authentication provider?

Hey!
So I am currently working on a website and I am not sure what authentication method to use.
What is the most recommended authentication method?
Clerk? AuthJS? Supabase?
I've heard tons of stories around all of them, I've tried Clerk and AuthJS personally.
I find Clerk amazing to work with and a breeze, but people say its not good to store data on third party, etc.
But at the same time, why not? Wouldn't it add a second layer of trust when working with it? Like.. We use a third party provider to make sure your data is secure, and its stored by security engineers, etcetc??
And how about Supabase? I've heard stories of their documentation being horrible, and that it can be hard to work with when your use case is complex?
What do people prefer / recommend?
