Firebase is so funky to configure. This might not be very helpful, but I think when I installed it on React Native I had to export some Firebase settings on a firebase config file and if I wanted to use it on a component, I would then import from the config

You possibly didn't install all the required modules.

yeah the problem was diff import maths for diff modules
