Hi guys, so I'm trying to learn how the Google Rank work.

I'm working on a big ecommerce site, and we're moving some pages to Nextjs because better SEO and speed with SSR and RSC.

The point it's that i hear some people saying that having good SEO it's only needed for the landing page, while i been reading others that said that all public pages, at least the most used, need to have a good SEO because that impact on your website Google Rank.

What do you guys think? Anyone work on a big projects that need SEO for organic traffic or know well this topic, that can answer me this question.

Thanks.

all public pages should have good SEO, there is no disscussion about it, if you want good organic search traffic you need to work on each page that can be indexed by search bots.
for example people search
buy Jordans in California then if you want such traffic, your page should have all of this on page, in description/title/keywords
there is differencies with specific locations, like you can't enumerate all cities on page, but at least main keywords should be presented on page, ideally you need to hire SEO guy who will provide you with best metadata for your pages.
@Giant Angora Thanks. But what about a form page that allow you to find your order for example, it's a public page but you need to submit a that form to go to the status order for example, that page will need SEO too?

it depends actually, some ecommerce actually use it in different way like we have search results about denim shirts, actually search results not category, and some ecommerce put this url somewhere in sitemap so search bot found it, something like https://example.com/search/denim+shirts and on page it have correct keywords like buy denim shirts usa
so not search page with form itself but dynamic results of search.
