I am looking to buy a ".co.uk" or ".uk" domain for my nextjs project on vercel domains. I couldn't find anything returned for .co.uk or .uk.

After a google search I found a post from 2020 saying that Vercel doesn't support .co.uk or .uk domains. This is still the case when searching from the vercel dashboard

My question is, if I buy a .co.uk or .uk domain on another website and attempt to transfer it to vercel domains, will it be successful?

The 3rd party provider Vercel uses for domains probably just doesn't offer these domain types. But since this is a Next-specific server you'd better head to the discussion forum linked in #vercel-help to receive more direct help. Alternatively reach out to their customer service which is linked there as well.

wow, I haven't used Vercel but in every hosting it works that you find their nameserver names e.g. ns1.vercel.com ns2.vercel.com ns3.vercel.com and put them in namecheap.com or godaddy.com admin area for the nameservers of your particular domain e.g. mydomainipaidfor.co.uk . Then in vercel should provide some mechanism for you to select your own domain (probably paid service?) and in the inputbox you would type mydomainipaidfor.co.uk and save and it should work. I can't think of a reason why they wouldn't allow co.uk or .de or .xyz domains. But perhaps they can't for some bizare legal reasons?

Kinda what deras said, but buying domains on vercel is very diferent to hosting it. To have the ability to buy it, you need deals with the TLD owners, where as hosting is just responding to http request (set to vercels server by DNS)... so basicly if you buy it externally, you should be able to use.
