Yes, I selected an existing repository from my github that is a nextjs project

go to vercel and import project

then you have to import a git repository

which makes you sign in to your github

If you’re able to select from your repository then you are already signed in through GitHub and have access, so what’s the error it’s giving you 👀

There is an existing github user which is my friend, but I am also trying to import a project from my own which won't show up

I pressed Add Github account which is how I set up the vercel application within github and told it which repo I wanted to use

but then this page does not update to reflect that on any browser

its full of public repos

then your account is not linked. Go to settings -> login connections and check there

or click add github account from the dropdown

So you click add account and signed in through GitHub. It should then show you new imports with all your repository’s with vercel access. I just tested it on mine and it worked lol. You have to enable vercel access in the repository though.

and it shows that my repository is selected

try using the search bar to look for it

in the import screen

the search bar searches for projects within a user, not for users

Try looking in the console to see if something happens when you select your repository and install / sign in 😂

I see what you mean. The only things I can really recommend at this point are fully logging out of vercel, clearing cache maybe, and checking other github permissions - it could be something in your repository, org, or user settings. I tested with a different account and it worked as expected.

That is very strange, I've never seen that happen. Might also be worth reaching out to vercel support, they might have more resources to see what is happening.
