Why is dev server of Next 13 App Directory so heavy ?

pages router seems much smoother, app directory feels very heavy and re-routes take around 5-10 seconds, what does that happen since this is an upgrade I thought it would be smoother

App directory seems super slow in dev environment
have you tried updating to 13.5?
You should update
But yes during dev I found app router is slower than pages
(A month ago)

It has become so slow to the point that i only build and test, dev environment had become unusable for me
