AWS S3 CDN hosted woff2 fonts is showing CORS issue

I am using Next.13 and next/font to load fonts.
I have the font files uploaded to S3 and added changes to assetPrefix to point to the CDN.
The JS files don't have the CORS issue but I am seeing them for the woff2 font files.
Does anyone have any idea why?
